Welcome to Internship Guidelines where we will go through all the basics of taking the Flagship Internship course. This course requires a minimum of 2 months for internship preparation, including editing your CV, preparing for interviews and securing your internship offer.
Let's begin by examining this Internship Timeline, followed by available support service and benefits of participating in an internship. This will allow you to enhance your application preparation and secure your internship offer promptly.
Flagship Internship Checklist
Stage 1: Preparation - 3 months
This is the stage for you to equip yourself with general knowledge about this course
Join Preparation Workshop, read information on Careers Online Portal (COP).
Join Preparation Workshop, visit Job Shop, meet with Internship Consultants.
Join Personal Edge series, collect RMIT Cred, book a consultation, etc.
Learn about job application, procedures and platforms, solve case studies.
Join RMIT Mentoring Program, create Linkedln profile and connect with people.
Stage 2: Application - 2 months
After careful preparation, it's time for you to start applying what you've prepared to get a job.
Create on COP and other job search platforms (Linkedln, YBox, Indeed, etc.)

Apply on COP or external sites (don't forget to submit to RMIT your Position Description).
Research on the position, practice interview questions with Interview360
Keep an eye on your mailbox, phone, Linkedln notification, etc.
Stage 3: Onboarding - 1 month IMPORTANT!
Have you got your job already? Great! But don't forget the steps below, they are just as important as the previous stages.
Read carefully and accept the offer letter the prepare onboarding documents.
Position Description (if needed), Internship Agreement (3 copies) and Internship Confirmation Note.
Attend Internship Enhancement Workshops to learn and practice the essential internship skills.

Finalise your Internship Offer
Congratulations on your internship placement! Now you need to do 2 steps to finalise your internship.
- Fill in Internship Confirmation: Complete this form as soon as you have got the internship offer.
- Submit Internship Agreements before your internship start date.

Type in all the information & print out 3 copies
Fill in the form, also remember to check the Start Date and End Date.

Sign all the forms with original signature
Sign all 3 copies of the form with your signature and employer's stamp.

Submit to Internship Team
You have to submit at least one week before you start your internship.
